2024

Amidst the wildfires in Valparaíso in February 2024, my sister and I decided to create a website to centralize all essential information—shelters, food distribution, medical aid, and more.

The goal was to make it easy for people to quickly find information, whether they needed help or wanted to offer it.

We noticed that most crucial updates were being shared through Instagram stories and posts, which quickly got buried under unrelated content. This made it hard to find the right information when it was needed the most.

The site quickly gained traction, receiving over 2,000 visitors per day for nearly two months. We worked alongside many volunteers offering help to those affected—emergency responders, veterinarians, psychologists, architects, lawyers & social workers, and people donating food, clothing, and shelter. The media took notice, and we were interviewed by news outlets covering the efforts to support those impacted by the fires.

We wanted to take this initial, simple app to the next level, but with other projects keeping us busy, we haven’t had the chance yet. The goal is to be ready for the next major emergency or crisis, anywhere in the world.

If you beat us to it, we don't care!
